When you welcome a kitten or puppy, it helps to bring together their vaccination records and discuss preventive care and future desexing with a veterinarian. Concordia Pet Care's Puppy & Kitten Starter Plan covers specified vaccinations and one pre-desexing consultation for eligible young pets.

The plan is intended for kittens or puppies under six months old at enrolment who are suitable after veterinary assessment. It starts on the payment date and lasts 12 months, with no automatic renewal or further charge on expiry. The timing and number of vaccinations your pet needs depend on their age, records and health, and must be assessed by a veterinarian.

What is included in the kitten and puppy plans?

Plan term: 12 months. For healthy kittens under six months old at enrolment that still require at least two doses of the plan-listed vaccine.

Plan term: 12 months. For healthy puppies under six months old at enrolment that still require at least two doses of the plan-listed vaccine, have not yet applied for a government dog licence and have not received a rabies vaccination.

*Each vaccination includes the routine pre-vaccination health check needed for that vaccination. This check is part of the vaccination visit and cannot be used as a separate consultation. The relevant government authority issues dog licences; application arrangements and approval remain subject to its requirements.

Are two vaccine doses enough to complete the course?

Two doses are the number of relevant vaccinations included in the plan. They do not guarantee that every kitten or puppy will have completed their entire vaccination course. A veterinarian will review your pet's age, vaccination card and health before advising on the appropriate schedule. If an additional booster is recommended, it can be purchased at HK$500 per dose, including that visit's routine pre-vaccination health check. Purchasing preventive medicines

Please ask our front desk about preventive medicines. Before certain medicines are prescribed or dispensed, a veterinarian must assess your pet's records and current condition. If an in-person consultation is needed, the standard consultation fee is charged separately.

If you request a veterinary service through WhatsApp or another remote channel, paragraph 32.2.2 of the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Hong Kong's Code of Practice generally requires an existing veterinary–client–patient relationship and a physical examination by the veterinarian providing the service within the preceding six months that is sufficient for that particular service, subject to the exceptions in the Code. Being within six months does not by itself guarantee a remote prescription or medicine supply; the veterinarian will decide whether another examination is needed.

How do I purchase and use the plan?

1. Ask the front desk or veterinary team about the plan and provide your pet's age, health information and vaccination records for an eligibility check.
2. Review the plan benefits and formal terms before paying. The 12-month term begins on the payment date.
3. Book plan services in advance and tell us you have purchased the plan. The clinic schedules attending veterinarians according to rosters and availability, so a particular veterinarian cannot be guaranteed. Services also depend on clinical assessment on the day.

If your pet becomes unwell before an appointment, tell the clinic so the team can assess whether vaccination should proceed as scheduled. You can also read about Concordia's general health care services.

Frequently asked questions

Can a kitten or puppy join after receiving some vaccines?

Eligibility depends on your pet's age, health and remaining vaccine doses at enrolment. They must still require at least two doses of the plan-listed vaccine. Puppies must also meet the dog licence and rabies-vaccination conditions. Bring their vaccination records for our team to check.

Can the pre-vaccination health check be used separately?

No. It is part of each vaccination visit, not a stand-alone consultation. The plan separately includes one pre-desexing consultation.

What if my pet has a skin problem, vomiting or diarrhoea at the visit?

The plan covers specified preventive care. If another health concern needs diagnosis or treatment, the clinic will apply the relevant standard consultation and medical charges and explain the proposed arrangements.

Does the plan include desexing surgery?

No. It includes one pre-desexing consultation. Routine desexing surgery is arranged and charged separately.

Key terms and booking information

• Plan items must be used within 12 months of the effective date. Unused items expire and cannot be extended or exchanged for cash. The plan does not renew automatically or charge again on expiry.
• All services require advance booking and depend on clinic availability and veterinary assessment.
• The plan covers only the listed preventive care. It excludes treatment of illness and emergencies, and benefits are for the registered pet only and cannot be transferred.
• Patient details and vaccination records must be checked before payment. The plan starts on the payment date.
• The account owner must request any cancellation. Refunds are calculated under the formal purchase terms with used items taken into account; front desk staff cannot promise a refund amount verbally.
• In any dispute about plan benefits or the interpretation of the terms, Concordia Pet Care retains the final right of interpretation and decision. If the Chinese and English versions are inconsistent, the English version prevails.
