2023-12-19

Dear Pet Parents,
We are pleased to introduce a new service at Concordia: Nighttime Exotic Emergency Consultations. In urgent situations, we aim to provide timely and comprehensive overnight support for exotic patients.
[Our Overnight Team & Service Enhancement]
Dr. Zoltan is our in-house exotic specialist veterinarian and has long provided specialised diagnosis, treatment, and inpatient care for a wide range of exotic cases.
We are also delighted to welcome Dr. Jeremy to our overnight team. Dr. Jeremy supports nighttime emergency consultations and helps strengthen our overnight exotic care arrangements.
If hospitalisation is required, we provide overnight exotic hospitalisation, including close monitoring, critical care, and CPR support when necessary.
[Meet Dr. Jeremy]
Dr. Jeremy graduated from the University of Sydney in 2017. He has clinical experience with dogs, cats, and exotic animals, previously working in several hospitals in Singapore. Since 2020, he has worked in Hong Kong as an emergency night veterinarian. His special interests include diagnostic imaging and emergency medicine.
[Night Emergency Visit Guidelines]
Triage system: Patients will be prioritised based on urgency upon arrival. Waiting times may be longer for more stable cases. Thank you for your understanding.
Appropriate use of the service: This service is intended for urgent and critical emergencies. For stable or ongoing conditions, we recommend booking a daytime appointment.
Prepare key information: Please bring or share any relevant medical records, lab results, photos/videos of abnormalities, and a list of current medications.
Timely decision-making & consent: In emergencies, prompt decisions and treatment consent may be required, including confirmation of related medical costs. Please ensure the pet’s decision-makers are present or easily reachable.
Daytime follow-up communication after hospitalisation: If an exotic patient is hospitalised overnight following a night emergency visit, our daytime exotics vets (Dr. Zoltan / Dr. Yahui) may arrange an in-person discussion the next day between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm to review the pet’s condition and care plan.
