What Our Expanded Night Service Means for Your Pets

We understand that emergencies can be stressful for both the pets and their owners. Our team is committed to provide compassionate and efficient care during these critical times. Here are some tips to help utilising our night emergency services effectively:

1、Understanding and empathy: Our team is passionate about all animals and empathises deeply with your concerns. We understand that emergencies can be stressful for both the pets and the owners. Please understand that we do our utmost to help and provide the best possible immediate care for your pet.

2、Patience: Please understand that every emergency is critical and require the earliest veterinary assistance. We implement Triage system to assess the condition of the patients arrived at the clinic to determine the relative priority of individual patient needs in order to exercise interventions in the early phase to prevent patients deterioration and death. Please understand the waiting time for some less critical emergency cases can be longer.

3、Appropriate use of service: The emergency night service is intended for urgent critical emergencies. If your pet is experiencing a medical situation that cannot wait till the next morning, we are here to help. However, it is important to note that the night service is not for patients with stable and ongoing medical conditions.

4、Preparation: Please assist us in providing all the necessary information to ensure your pet receives the best possible care. This includes any previous/relevant medical records, laboratory results, photos and videos of any abnormalities, as well as all the current medications your pet is taking.

5、Decision making: Immediate medical decisions and treatment consent are required in most critical situations. Please ensure all decision-makers of the pet are present or easily reachable to discuss potential diagnostic tests and treatment, as well as the associated medical costs.

6、Follow-up communication: We value clear communication and understanding with owners in order to provide the best medical care for your pets. In any night emergency cases where an exotics patient needs to be hospitalised, our day time exotics vets, Dr. Zoltan and Dr. Jamie, would like to have an in-person conversation with the owner during daytime to discuss the pet’s condition and care plan. Please ensure you are available to visit us between 9 am and 6pm on the following day.

For any inquiries or to book an appointment for our night service, please call us at 2679 1000 before you visit.

We kindly ask that you call ahead of time, allowing us to communicate and prepare everything necessary to provide the best care for your pet. Thank you for your understanding!
