This case involves a 7-year-old spayed Labrador Retriever who was referred for endoscopy due to significantly elevated liver parameters. Prior to this, she had undergone multiple investigations at a tertiary referral hospital, including an ultrasound, but all results were considered relatively normal. Based on these findings, she was diagnosed with idiopathic hepatitis of unknown origin and was discharged with hepatic support supplements.

According to a national study on the veterinary industry, pet parents typically wait an additional 17 minutes after their appointment time to see the vet, sometimes over 30 minutes. The veterinary team must prioritize critical emergencies. When urgent cases affect waiting pet parents, we will inform them of the situation and the estimated waiting time.
