Step 1 - Triage: The team assesses the presenting problem and vital signs so that the most urgent patients can be prioritised.

Step 2 - Veterinary Examination: The veterinarian examines the patient, reviews the history and current medication, and decides whether laboratory or imaging tests are needed.

Step 3 - Initial Plan: Based on the information available, the veterinarian explains the recommended tests and treatment, material risks and estimated costs. Emergency plans may change as the patient's condition develops.

Step 4 - Investigation and Treatment: Depending on clinical need, the team can use on-site laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, surgery suites and intensive care facilities.

Step 5 - Caring Support: Our team is here to support you and your pet during this difficult time. We'll keep you updated on your pet's progress and answer any questions to help you feel informed and reassured.


Our Emergency Veterinary Team

The emergency service is delivered by an experienced veterinary and nursing team. Patients are triaged according to clinical urgency, and the team can coordinate on-site diagnostics, stabilisation, surgery, hospitalisation or referral where appropriate. Complex cases may involve input from clinicians with relevant advanced training, subject to availability and the patient's needs.


Our Facilities

The hospital has 6 consulting rooms, 2 purpose-built surgery suites and independent intensive care units, with separate wards for dogs, cats and exotic animals. On-site facilities include a laboratory, ultrasound, CT, endoscopy, X-ray and surgical equipment to support emergency assessment and treatment.

Our vet clinic is located at LG & P1, No. 5-7, Blue Pool Road, Happy Valley, Hong Kong, and is easily accessible via various public transport options:

Citybus: Take routes 1, 1M, 1P, 8X, or 19P and alight at the Happy Valley (Lower) Bus Terminus. We're just a 1-minute walk from there.

Minibus: Hop on Minibus 5 or 30 and get off on Wong Nai Chung Road (near Blue Pool Road). Our clinic is only a 1-minute walk away.

Tram: Utilize the Kennedy Town - Happy Valley / Happy Valley - Shau Kei Wan tram lines. Disembark at the Happy Valley Terminus, and you'll reach us with a short 2-minute walk.
