With the help of endoscopy, Malibu did not need to be surgically opened
Dr. Cheryl Chan Hiu Chung 2019-04-17

Soon Malibu started to vomit and our vet performed an ultrasound to confirm that the durian core was still in his stomach. With the help of the endoscope, we were able to remove the durian core from his stomach without having to perform an open heart surgery.

Through the endoscope, we could confirm that there was nothing in the stomach. Malibu recovered well and started to eat on the first day after the endoscopy and was discharged home. Based on the case, endoscopy can be a good alternative to surgery.
